Religious Freedom

We hear so much about “Religious Freedom” as a way to discriminate against others. They “claim” it is not discrimination but rather that it goes against their religious beliefs.  That by providing a service to someone who is LGBT that it goes against church teachings and they don’t want to sin.

I have to laugh sometimes because some of these people have been married many times (divorce is not recognized by the Catholic Church), they have extra marital affairs, they lie, cheat, steal or any of the many “sins” in the bible.  Yet they choose to ignore those saying that times have changed OR that they have repented for their sins so now they are forgiven.

I call that all an excuse to hate a fellow human being because you either don’t understand or deep down inside you have those same feelings but you choose to hide them because of what society may think.

For over 40 years I have had to deal with that hatred and violence and have always “turned the other cheek”.  Well no more!!!  Turning the other cheek only gets it slapped around and abused.  I say we give them what they want.  Remember the bible, their bible, says to do unto others has you want done unto you.

So I say if they want to refuse service to others and use religion to do so, then as a member of Be The Light Chapel, you have the same legal right to say NO, sorry I can not serve you.  According to my religious beliefs I am giving you want you want.  When you can show love and respect for ALL of Gods children, then I can serve you.

Are you the parent of an LGBT youth? Do teachers give your child a hard time? If you have a trans child, does a teacher refuse to call your child by their name they identify with because they say it’s against their religion? Then as a member of the church, you then have the right to demand a new teacher for your child, saying that the teachers beliefs goes against your beliefs as well as your childs’ beliefs and as such you want your child taught by someone else.

Of course they will not like this at all and complain that it is discrimination. NOW it would be IF you could not prove that you belonged to a church that supported that belief. Not many of the traditional churches will support that belief. WE DO!

And because WE DO, as a member of the church you now have the same “Religious Freedom” like they have to refuse service. We’re not discriminating against anyone, just giving them what they want like the bible says.

Matthew 7:12 is the twelfth verse of the seventh chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament and is part of the Sermon on the Mount. This well known verse presents what has become known as the Golden Rule.

In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads:

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you:
do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets

The World English Bible translates the passage as:

Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you
shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

So it’s time to stand up for your rights and use Religious Freedom to help end the discrimination that is growing so quickly in the USA.
